Champion of Champions Leaderboard Finals

Firstly this is a really fun and relaxed competition and is designed to give all players a chance to play against others within their category.

We are providing a caddy per group in order to help with basic rules and to do the scoring, this means you can just concentrate on playing your best FootGolf.

We are not expecting Ronaldo to turn up we just want to see people having fun.

General Info

Date:

Saturday 27th April

​

Time:

The compeition will start at 2pm but you must be there for 1:30pm at the latest in order to register, receive your marker, get a quick players briefing and then get out to your starting hole for a 2pm tee off. 

 

Competition Format:

18 holes stroke play (each kick counts towards your score, lowest score wins) as a shotgun start (i.e. you all start at the same time but on different holes). All juniors will be grouped with juniors, ladies with ladies and men with men where possible. 

 

Format of the Event:

1:30 - 1:45pm Event registration & players briefing

1:45 - 2:00pm Group allocated caddy & start position

​

2:00 - 4:00pm FootGolf Competition 

​

4:00 - 6:00pm BBQ available to purchase whilst scores are verified and award presentation. 

​

Please note that we will do the award presentation shortly after every group has finished and submitted their score. However we have allowed additional time incase there is a delay in starting and also to allow players and spectators a chance to mingle and refuel. 

​

Under 16s:

MUST be accompanied by an adult throughout the competition. The adult must be able to walk around the course with the junior. They do not need to do anything other than follow the group around and stay to the edges of the course. 

​

Proof of Age:

Although this is a fun event we do not want people playing in the wrong category and gaining an unfair advantage. 

Please bring proof of ID if you are playing in either of the senior or junior categories. The category age cut offs are effective as of the day of the competition so if you turned 16 on 25th April then unfortunately you will need to play in the mens or ladies category.

Spectators:

Spectators are welcome to walk around the course and watch the compeition or sit in the club house. Any spectator walking must stay to the side and be mindful of play, ensuring that they are not interfering with anyone's ability to take their shot. NO mobility scooters, prams, buggies or dogs are allowed on the course

​

Dress Code:

Players can wear anything they want except main stream football colours. if it is a cold wet day please dress appropriately for the weather. You can take a small rucksack around if you wish, with additional clothing and water, etc. 

​

Footwear:

Trainers or astroturf shoes are the only footwear allowed. You will not be allowed to wear football boots of any kind (studs, blades or mouldies) or golf shoes. 

​

Balls:

You can bring your own ball with you or you can use one of our balls for free. Please note if you do not return our ball we will impose a £10 fine. 

Please note that the under 12s category can play with a size 4 ball if they wish everyone else MUST play with a size 5 ball. 

​

Facilities available on the day:

We have a large club house which will be available to access from 12:30pm. There will be a BBQ available from 12:30pm right through until 5:30pm serving various burgers or hot dogs, corn on the cob, baked potato, various salad options and crusty bread. There will be vegetarian, vegan & GF options available. In addition we have juice, crisps, chocolate & alcohol available to purchase from the bar. Please do not eat or drink your own food within our clubhouse. There are plenty of toilets but only one small changing room so please come dressed ready to play. There are no dogs allowed in the clubhouse.

Alcohol:

Alcohol is not permitted during the competition for players, however it will be available to purchase for over 18s only after the footgolf has finished.  

​

Swearing:

Please be mindful that there will be under 16s playing in this competition therefore we strongly discourage swearing or foul language both whilst playing footgolf and within the club house

​

Rules:

Do not worry about the rules, this is a fun and relaxed compeition however we will have a players briefing with some basic rules for everyone to follow. In addition each group will have a caddy (a FootGolf Association of Scotland member) who will keep everyone right, offer some friendly advice and keep the score. 

​

Disputes:

This is a fun and relaxed competition and although we will have some basic rules that we expect all players to adhere to we do not expect there to be any disputes. Any issues will be decided upon by the Bridgend Golf & FootGolf management team and their decision is final. 

​

Live Scoring:

We are delighted to announce that the FGAOS will be providing live scoring for this event. This means that you know how you are doing compared with others in your category and it also means your family and friends can follow your progress from the comfort of our club house or their own homes using a link which will be provided via Facebook on the day. 

​

Prizes: 

There will be trophies for the winners of each section and some additional awards presented during our short awards ceremony.

​

Photographs & Videos:

By entering this competition you are agreeing to having your photo or video taking and being okay with its use on social media platforms and other PR avenues. We cannot police the taking of photos and videos and their use by other players or spectators. Any footage taken by Bridgend Golf & FootGolf will be used to promote other footgolf events and to create a recap of the event for social media. 

​

Raffle:

We will be having a raffle on the day with all proceeds going to the Edinburgh Children's Hospital. If you would like to bring a raffle prize then please hand this into the registration desk on arrival.
